Throttle Position Switch: Adjustments

Throttle Switch/Purge Valve Location:

THROTTLE SWITCH

1. Remove the air intake boot from the throttle valve.

Throttle Valve Switch:

2. With the throttle valve switch disconnected connect an ohm meter between pin 2 and pin 18 of the throttle switch.

Throttle Valve:

3. Loosen screws number 1 and turn the throttle switch until 0 ohms is obtained. Retighten the screws.

^ The resistance should rise immediately to infinite ohms when the throttle valve is opened slightly and drop to 0 ohms when the throttle valve returns to the near closed position.
