Cylinder Identification Sensor: Description and Operation

The cylinder identification sensor monitors the position of number six piston position. The sensor itself consists of a coil wound around the number six spark plug lead. Normally the engine works with sequential injection. If the sensor is defective or the signal is missing, the control unit will operate all the injectors at the same time.
