Cylinder Identification Sensor: Service and Repair

Cylinder Identification-Engine Speed/Reference Sensor:

Cylinder Identification Sensor:

1. Remove the distributor cap cover.
2. Remove number 6 ignition lead from the distributor cap and cut off the ignition lead shielded plug.
3. Cut the sender off of the ignition lead.
4. Slide new sensor onto cylinder 6 ignition lead approximately 3 in.
5. Replace the ignition lead end and shielded plug.
6. Reinstall the number 6 ignition lead at the distributor cap.
7. Reinstall the distributor cap cover.
