Front Door Window Glass: Adjustments

ADJUSTING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR WINDOW




Except Convertibles:
Remove door trim panel. Service and Repair

Pull off plastic sheet partially.

Installation:
Replace damaged plastic sheet.




Raise window completely.

Loosen screw.

Bolt down window guide again without tension.




Loosen screws.




Adjust window in slots until there is an uniform gap between the window glass and window frame at top.

Tighten screws.




Convertibles:
Remove door trim panel. Service and Repair

Pull off plastic sheet.

Installation:
Replace damagad plastic sheet.




Requirements for Side Window Adjustment:

1. Correct Adjustment of Door:
a) If necessary, correct door outside panel in area of front side panel with shims.




b) If necessary, correct door outside panel in area of rear side panel by adjusting the door striker.




c) Triangular window in area of cowl panel.
2. Correct Adjustment of Top




Operate window to half-open position.

Loosen screws.




Shut window, while pressing against the front guide rail.

Window glass must be parallel in the guide rail.




Tighten screws.

Check that there is easy movement as well as the system on the top, correcting if necessary.




Installation:
The window glass (1) must bear on rubber seal (2) as shown.




Limitation of window movement is adjusted with the stop.
