Defect Code 12

Defect Code 12:

A door cannot be locked, unlocked and/or arrested:

Note: This defect may cause the central locking system to unlock once again immediately after locking or arresting (or to lock after unlocking). Refer to Functional Description - defect information.

Troubleshooting:

1. For front doors: Synchronize central locking system (ZV).

Procedure: Close door. With the car key, turn door lock to right beyond hard pressure point.

2. Check ZV locking linkage for mechanical defect, repair if necessary.

3. Check wired from defective ZV motor drive to the central locking module (ZVM), repair if necessary.

4. If wires and mechanics OK., replace defective ZV motor drive.
