Defect Code 13:

Note: This symptom acts as intended operation information. It indicates that the central locking system is not operating properly.

Troubleshooting:

1. For front doors: Synchronize central locking system (ZV).

Procedure: Close door. With car key, turn door lock to the right beyond hard pressure point.

2. Troubleshooting with BMW DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. *D* Monitor defect code memory. If no defect code is stored, perform troubleshooting with the aid of the status lists (guided test sequence!). Carefully work through all test points.
