Code 11 (Injection Signal ti Not Plausible)

INJECTION SIGNAL ti NOT PLAUSIBLE
Explanation
This defect code is stored when, during deceleration fuel cut-out, the Electronic Throttle Control (EML) control unit receives a Injection Signal (ti) signal (EML sends an idle signal to the Digital Motor Electronic (DME) and engine speed is approx. >1500 rpm) or at an engine speed approx. >2600 rpm no ti signal is sent over a period of approx. >4 sec.

Effect: When defect code Is set (EML warning lamp "ON"): Power reduction by limited throttle (DK) opening angle and reduced throttle (DK) opening speed.

NOTE: A check can be made in the status list as to whether the ti signal exists in the EML control unit.

Troubleshooting
- Check ti signal (status monitoring) or load display.
- Check wire from the EML control unit to the DME.
- Proceed with other displayed scan tool diagnostic instructions where applicable.
