Explanation: This defect code is stored when shorts or breaks occur at the air flow meter or on its supply wires (voltage supply and signal line).

The function also detects when the Up/uV-value of LMM is no longer within the normal operating range of 0.02 to 0.95

In this case, the DME control unit operates with fixed substitute values, load signal tL = 3.5 to 4.5 ms and ignition angle = 20° crankshaft angle before TDC when the idle speed contact is open.

Troubleshooting: As displayed on screen. Carry out air flow meter testing with status monitoring •D• 200 . The Up/Uv-value indicates the ratio of the potentiometer voltage (wiper) with respect to the supply voltage (5 V) in the air flow meter. Refer to - Component Testing - for technical data.
