Defect code 101:

Malfunction: Engine operation not possible:

Troubleshooting:

Prerequisites:

- Start system OK. (battery charged, ignition switch and starter OK.....)

- Ground connection at battery, engine and body OK.

- Specified type of fuel in tank

- Engine OK mechanically (timing, compression...)

a) Check voltage supply for DME control unit in accordance with schematics.

b) Check input signals.

- Engine speed signal from inductive pulse generator •D• 200 at starting speed.

- Air flow meter signals •D• 200 .

c) Check output signals.

- Activation of fuel pump relay in accordance with schematics

- Injection output stage with ENGINE TEST test step 09

- Injector valves with •D• 300 .

d) Fuel pressure test
