Defect code 45:

•D• 900 Defect code memory: 45 Engine temperature sensor (water):

Explanation: This defect code is stored when shorts or breaks occur at the temperature sensor or on its supply wires.

In the case of fault, the intake air temperature is used as a substitute value, however, only for the first 3 minutes after starting when the air temperature is < 11° C. otherwise a substitute value of 50° C is used.
