Defect code 52:

•D• 900 Defect code memory: 52 Idle switch:

Explanation: This defect code is stored when the throttle switch or the wire to the DME control unit Pin 52 has a short to ground. A prerequisite for this is that the engine is at operating temperature (> 80° C) at an engine speed > 1000 rpm and a load signal > 3.5 ms.
