Defect code 53:

•D• 900 Defect code memory: 53 Full load switch:

Explanation: This detect code is stored when the throttle switch or the wire to the DME control unit Pin 53 has a short to ground. A prerequisite for this is a load signal > 1.8 ms and the idle contact closed at the same time. If the load signal drops below 4.5 ms, the full load signal is ignored by the DME control unit.
