Defect code 07:

•D• 900 Defect code memory: 01 Air mass meter (HLM):

Explanation: This defect code is stored when a short or break occurs at the air mass meter HLM or on the supply wires. In this case, the DME control unit operates with fixed substitute values:

- Load signal tL = 0 ms

- Ignition angle = 18...20° crank angle

When the engine is not idling.

The ignition angle (timing) does not change as the engine speed increases.
