Defect Code 16

Defect code 16:

•D• 900 Defect code memory: 16 Fuel injector valves cyl. 1+3+5 or 7+9+11:

Explanation: This defect code is stored when shorts occur at the fuel injector valves of breaks in the supply wires.

Note: In the case of a short at one fuel injector valve or in its supply wire, the entire injector valve group is always deactivated. The three intact valves of this cylinder group remain in operation.

If the defect codes 16/17 and 10 are stored, this indicates a fault in the ignition system (primary circuit or ignition coil). Consequently, the injector valves are deactivated, also resulting in defect detection.
