•D• 900 Defect code memory: 54 Torque converter clutch:

Explanation: Applies only to model '89. This defect code is stored when the DME control unit detects a closed torque converter clutch (or short to ground) and the selector lever is in position P or N.

This defect code is also stored when the EGS control unit is in emergency (limited) operation mode. The EGS control unit is in emergency (limited) operation mode also in diagnostic mode!
