Cylinder Identification Sensor: Description and Operation

The cylinder identification sensors monitor the positions of number six and number twelve piston. The sensors consist of a coil wound around the number six and number twelve spark plug leads. Normally the engine works with sequential injection. If a sensor becomes defective or the signal is missing, its corresponding side of the engine will work with parallel injection.
