Remove and Install

Exhaust System Mounting Locations:

1. Lift the inline plug connector for the oxygen sensor out of its holder and disconnect.
2. Unscrew the plastic nuts and take off the harness holders.
3. Remove the transmission exhaust bracket (automatic transmission only).
4. Support the exhaust assembly with an appropriate lifting device and lift out the rubber holders at the left and right of the exhaust system.

Oxygen sensor Location:

5. Loosen the nuts on the exhaust pipes/exhaust manifold connection several turns.
6. Remove the nuts on the final muffler holder.
7. Lower the exhaust assembly slowly, far enough until the oxygen sensor is accessible.
8. Remove the oxygen sensor.
9. Coat the oxygen sensor threads with anti-sieze.
10. Install the oxygen sensor and torque to 40 ± 3.5 lbs.
11. Refit the exhaust components in reverse manner.
