Cylinder Head Tightening

Camshaft Alignment:

1. Remove debris from the engine block head bolt threads.
2. Mount the cylinder head with arrows on the cam sprockets facing up.
3. Install new lightly oiled head bolts.
4. Torque the head bolts in sequence 1 - 10, in three steps.

Torque Sequence:

TORQUE PROCEDURE

Step 1 [1] 22-25 lb ft (30...35 Nm)





Step 2 - Torque Angle 90 ± 5°
Step 3 - Torque Angle 90 ± 5°

CAUTION: Never reuse bolts.
Keep oil out of the bolt holes. If not, improper values or damage to the head may result.
