Fuel Pump: Testing and Inspection

Fuel Pump Location:

1. Remove the rear seat bottom and the fuel pump access cover.
2. With the ignition OFF disconnect fuel pump harness connector C190.
3. Connect a fused jumper between the positive battery terminal and the terminal on the fuel pump that corresponds to the green/violet wire of the electrical connector.
4. Connect a fused jumper between the remaining terminal on the fuel pump socket and ground.

^ The fuel pump should run with a smooth audible humming sound. No interruptions or laboring effort should be detectable. If the fuel pump is suspected to have insufficient output refer to the FUEL SUPPLY for testing procedures.
