Defect Code 16:

*D* Defect code memory: 16 Terminals "15"/"R"/"61":

Explanation: The DWA system should change over from "ready to arrest status to the "arrest status but one of the terminals "15", "R" or "61" (battery charge indicator) was active.

Possible cause: Terminal "15", "R" or "61" defective.

Troubleshooting: Change ignition switch and repair if necessary. If ignition switch OK, check following wires and repair if necessary:

- Terminal "R": From DWA control unit 26-pin connector black Pin 17 to terminal "R"
- Terminal "15": From DWA control unit 5-pin connector Pin 3 to terminal "15"
- Terminal "61": From DWA control unit 5-pin connector Pin 4 to terminal "61"
