Test 1.1:

Ignition ON: ABS lamp not ON, PALA ON:

- Other indicator lamps (battery charge indicator etc.) are OK. (ON):

no:
Check battery voltage, supply wire to ignition lock (terminal 15), fuses F1 and F17, connection at instrument cluster.

yes:
Renew ABS lamp, check lamp contacts, check wire from ignition lock terminal 15 to the instrument cluster for a break, defect in instrument cluster.

- ABS lamp current circuit test: Resistance between Pin 1 and 6 (bypass voltage protection relay at socket terminal 15 and 87) approx 60 ... 120 Ohm.

- Additional safety circuit test: Detach 55-pin control unit connector X7, ignition ON: If the ABS lamp lights, the defect is on the control unit side. If the ABS lamp does not light, check the hydraulic unit (diode). See test 3.1.
