Test 3.3:

Vehicle speed greater than 25 km/h: ABS lamp ON, ASC display "defect", PALA OFF:

- Ground connection Pin 3, Pin 18, Pin 36 to vehicle ground approx. 0 Ohm
- Voltage supply Pin 1 to Pin 18 >11.5 V (to measure voltage supply, use jumper connector from ABS adapter for electronic relay)

Read out flash code = determining speed sensor

4 Flash pulses, rear left, test 12.1

5 Flash pulses, rear right, test 12.2

6 Flash pulses, front right, test 12.3

7 Flash pulses, front left, test 12.4

- Speed sensor test with BMW Service Tester Multimeter (see Operating Instructions BMW Service Tester)
- UD+ at speed sensor + (e.g. front left) Pin 8
B- at speed sensor - (e.g. front left) Pin 26
- Terminal 1 (black) together with Service Tester frequency output
(Press multimeter *M*)
Enter 22 and 13, press acknowledgement
Enter 80 Hz, press acknowledgement
Turn corresponding wheel uniformly
Sinusoidal curve must also appear uniformly on the oscilloscope
If necessary move speed sensor wires, observe oscilloscope.
