Defect Code 02:

Antitheft system (DWA) cannot be armed or disarmed:

Note: The signal line to the antitheft system (DWA) is not included in the diagnostic procedure.

Troubleshooting:

- All other functions of the IR system are in working order, otherwise carry out troubleshooting to instructions given in the BMW DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.

- Operation of antitheft system (DWA) (with key) functions normally, otherwise perform troubleshooting in accordance with Section 6575.0 or 6575.1 Antitheft System.

- DWA cannot be armed: Check wire from the IR logic module Pin 19 to 26-pin connector of DWA control unit Pin 13 (input ZS 22) for a break and repair if necessary.

- DWA 18 armed but cannot be disarmed: Check wire from IR logic module Pin 19 to 26-pin connector of DWA control unit Pin 13 (input ZS 22) for a short to B+ and repair if necessary.
