Seat Backrest

Rear seat backrest, removing and installing (power seats)

- Remove seat cushion.

- Pull up on headrest and remove.




- Fold down armrest. Unlock spring-loaded retainer, squeeze in direction of arrows and remove armrest. Remove center backrest upper section by removing fastener (A).

- Remove seat belt anchor bolt below backrest.




- Remove rear seat backrest upper mounting bolts (arrows) and pull backrest forward.

- Remove screws from backrest upper plastic trim and pull trim off, releasing seat belt from backrest.




- Electrical harness connectors in back of rear seat backrest. Working in back of backrest, remove screws from headrest electrical harness connector (arrows). Loosen connector and feed out past upholstered material. Detach harness connector at base of backrest (arrows). Backrest can now be lifted out.

- Installation is reverse of removal.

Tightening Torques
Seat belt anchor to floor 48 Nm (36 ft-lb)
