Stepper Motors
Purpose and OperationStepper motors are installed to move the various flaps. The control unit assumes that, on completion of calibration, the stepper motors are in a defined position since they cannot signal back their position to the control unit. Calibration is triggered when the power supply (terminal 15 and terminal 30) of the control unit was interrupted.
The defect detection function can differentiate between a short to positive and a break in the circuit. When the control unit detects a stepper motor defect, the corresponding stepper motor is switched off.
