•D• 2 - To carry out this check, the oxygen sensor must be at operating temperature. The emission control system is dependent on the engine temperature and can have a duration of up to 5 minutes (at - 30° C). At starting temperature > 20° C, the control can take up operation after approx. 30 seconds.

The control system can effectively compensate wear-related deviations in the air-fuel mixture and thus conceal other defects. If necessary, disconnect the oxygen sensor when checking the air-fuel mixture system.
