Defect code 51:

•D• 900 Defect code memory: 51 Ignition timing (ignition angle) intervention:

Explanation: Only applicable to models equipped with EGS. This defect code is stored when a wire from the EGS control unit Pin 2 to the DME control unit Pin 51 has a short to ground ( > 2.5 sec). In such a case, the ignition timing (angle) intervention occurs only once, the signal is then ignored.
