^D^ Defect code memory: 47 A/C signal to DME/EML

NOTE: The decoupling relay is no longer installed as of model year 1991. The DME/EML control unit is activated directly with positive by the IHKR2/3 control unit when the air conditioning system is on.

Explanation:
This defect code is stored when there is a short to ground or to positive at the black connector, Pin 9.

Effect of defect:
If the defect is a current defect, the component is no longer activated.

Possible cause:
Wire or decoupling relay defective.

Troubleshooting:
Check wire and repair if necessary, or renew component.



The function of whether the A/C signal to DME/EML is switched actively to positive or negative, is defined by the coded IHKR2/3 control unit.
