Vibration Damper & Hub

- Remove vibration damper. Prevent cranking of engine with special tool 11 2 170.

WARNING: Be sure to remove flywheel holding tool before starting engine to prevent damage.

Vibration Damper Bolts And Dowel Pin Alignment.:

- Unscrew dowel on vibration damper and take off vibration damper.

Installation:
- Align dowel pin bore in vibration damper with dowel pin.
- Tightening torque = 23 Nm (17 ft lbs).

Vibration Damper Hub.:

- Remove vibration damper hub:
- Hold flywheel with special tool 11 2 170.
- Unscrew central bolt.
- Take off washer and hub.

Alignment Of Damper Hub.:

Installation:
- Align groove of hub with woodruff key.
- Collar of washer faces hub.
- Tightening torque of central bolt = 310 Nm (224 ft lbs).
