Valve Cover: Service and Repair

Unscrew cover for ignition coil.







Pull off spark-plug connectors.







Loosen both nuts.
Lift out complete ignition harness.







Pull off hose.
Unscrew cylinder-head cover.

Installation;
Tightening torque:
M6 screw = 10 Nm
M7 screw = 15 Nm







NOTE: Cylinder-head cover is separated from cylinder head by rubber mounts and seals to prevent oscillation.
Note arrangement of rubber mounts.







Installation:
Check seals, replace if necessary.







Installation:
Check for correct seating of seal on back of cylinder head when installing cylinder-head cover.
