R-134a Refrigerant and Air Conditioning Compressor PAG oil

MODELS:

Situation:
To provide the proper supplies for operating the new BMW R-134a compatible air conditioning refrigerant recycling station, BMW NA has arranged an automatic drop shipment of a 30 lb. canister of R-134a refrigerant (where appropriate) and a liter container of the associated compressor PAG oil.

For dealers who ordered the BMW recycling station, the refrigerant canister will be shipped automatically. Dealers that indicated they already had access to a R-134a compatible recycling station are assumed to have their own source for refrigerant, and will not receive the canister.

The introductory price for the 30 lb. refrigerant canister, including direct drop shipment, is $395.50. Shipments of the refrigerant are tentatively scheduled to begin 4/20/92. Since this product will be shipped directly from the distributer, do not attempt to order R-134a canisters from BMW parts. If additional supplies of R-134a refrigerant are required, kindly contact John Marion, BMW NA, at (201) 307-4194. John will arrange shipment of additional canisters as needed.

The initial shipment of R-134a canisters will have a Material Safety Data Sheet attached for this chemical. Please make certain this information is handled appropriately. R-134a should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from open flames.

The BMW R-134a compatible PAG oil will be shipped automatically to every dealer. The introductory price for the PAG oil, including direct drop shipment, is $32.50. The shipping date of this item has not been established, but is expected to begin the second week of May. For any emergency PAG oil needs in the meantime, kindly contact John Marion, BMW NA, at (201) 307-4194.
