Drive Belt: Service and Repair

AC Belt Replacement


NOTE: If the drive belt is to be reused, mark direction of travel and reinstall drive belt in same direction of rotation.


- Remove underbody protection.

AC Compressor Belt:

- Loosen drive belt
- Insert Allen key in tensioning roller screw and turn slowly clockwise. This compresses the tensioner, thus slackening the drive belt. Remove drive belt.

Installation
- Check drive belt for coolant and oil residue and replace if necessary.


CAUTION: It is essential to replace drive belt if it comes into contact with hydraulic fluid.





- Note arrangement of drive belt.
- When installing drive belt, compress tensioning element and loop belt over belt pulleys and check for correct position in grooves.
