Test Step 5

Test Step 5:

Cowl Panel Switch Test:

Cowl panel switch interrupts ground electric lead of top switch when top is closed.
Top must be taken out of cowl panel.
Remove check control or cowl panel plate.
Disconnect plug of microswitch In cowl panel (above mirror).

Bridge plug in wire harness direction of brown/white wire and brown wire.
Operate top switch in open direction.
Does LED light up?

If no: Continue with Test Step 6.
If yes: Bridge plug in wire harness direction of brown/white wire and brown wire.
Operate top switch In open direction.
Does yellow LED light up?

If no: Continue with Test Step 6.
If yes: Cowl panel switch is faulty.
