Fuel Pump: Testing and Inspection

Fuel Pump Location:

Access the Pump
1. Remove the rear seat bottom and the fuel pump access cover.

Activate the Pump
2. With the ignition OFF, disconnect fuel pump harness connector C190.
3. Connect a fused jumper between the positive battery terminal and the terminal on the fuel pump that corresponds to the green/violet wire of the electrical connector.
4. Connect a fused jumper between the remaining terminal on the fuel pump socket and ground.

^ The fuel pump should operate with an even, audible humming sound. No interruptions, or laboring effort should be detected. If insufficient fuel pump output is suspected refer to Checking Fuel Supply for testing procedures.
