Replacing Complete Slide/Tilt Sunroof (Framework/Power)

Replacing Complete Slide/Tilt Sunroof (Framework/Power):

Remove headliner.







With electrical actuation:
Disconnect connector (1).







With electrical actuation:
Unfasten screw

Tightening Torque = 2.8 Nm







If necessary, unfasten hose clips (1) at front and back.
Pull off water drain hoses.







Unscrew bolts.







Unfasten left/right screws.

Unfasten left/right screws.
Bend clips forwards and slightly lower frame of slide/tilt sunroof.







Installation:
Fold up back of frame until rear clips can be unfastened.
1. Gently tighten down rear left/right screws.
2. Install front screws and tighten down.
3. Install and tighten down side screws.
4. Tighten rear screws.







Push slide/tilt sunroof frame backwards and lift out through back door (or, on touring, through tailgate)







Installation:
Insert slide/tilt sunroof frame in sheet metal slot at front.
