Power Protection Relay: Description and Operation
ELECTRONIC POWER PROTECTION 1992- 1993, ALL MODELS - ZVM CONTROL
The central locking circuit of the ZVM is protected against overloads and short circuits by the electronic power protection fuse which is an integral part of the ZVM.
A comparator in the load circuit of the locking relay control detects an overload or short circuit by measuring voltage drop across a measuring resistor.
- If the current flow exceeds 30 amps for more than 0.3 seconds, an overload has occurred and the locking circuit is switched off.
- If the current flow exceeds 50 amps (short circuit) the system is immediately switched off.
