Disassembling Oil Pump

DISASSEMBLING OIL PUMP

- M50 VANOS -







Unscrew intake pipe.







Installation:
Tab on seal faces the suction basket.






Screw on pump body.






Remove front pump section with shaft and rotor.






Installation:
Check dowel sleeves.






Installation:
Check all parts for wear.

- Scoring in body
- Wear on rotors
- Wear and scoring on bearing surfaces






Removing Pressure Relief Valve:
Press sleeve down lightly with help of a suitable mandrel.
Lift out circlip and remove pressure valve.

Caution!
Strong spring force.






Installation:
1. Piston
2. Spring
3. Sleeve with 0-ring
4. Circlip

Caution!
Check sealing ring replacing if necessary. Do not damage the sleeve.
