Injector Valves

Injector Valves:

Check electrical function:

•D• 300 - The fuel injector valves are driven with a frequency of 10 Hz. The pulse period is 1 ms in order to avoid fuel being injected. Activation can be felt with the hand.

Check pulse duration:

•D• 200 - This status inquiry indicates the opening duration of the injector valves. The pulses can be checked with the aid of the multimeter

•M• 15 at the injector valve connector. It must be borne in mind that only parallel injection is possible during diagnostic mode. Therefore, the pulse duration measured with the multimeter (not in diagnostic mode) is doubled since semisequential injection takes place.

Testing with oscilloscope •M• 22 and universal adapter:

Connect terminal frequency OFF (+) with terminal 1 and enter a frequency of 70 Hz, connect terminal D+ (blue) to Pin 16 or 17. The injection signal should be displayed on the oscilloscope. In contrast to measuring the pulse duration, injection fad-out during coasting can also be seen on the oscilloscope.

Resistance test:

The resistance of an injector valve must be measured directly at the component. Only the entire injector valve group (e.g. 3 valves on 6-cylinder engine) can be measured at the universal adapter. For technical data, refer to - Technical Data -.
