Power Brake Assist: Testing and Inspection

1. With the engine "OFF", operate the brake pedal 20 times.
2. With the brake pedal depressed, start the engine.

^ The brake pedal should sink.

If the brake pedal does not sink, a defect is present in the power steering pump, power flow regulator, hydraulic reservoir or the brake booster.
