TR-signal/EKP Relay:

Check function:

The EKP relay switches on when the DME main relay is switched on and the DME control unit (Pin 3) outputs a ground signal with overlaid engine speed signal (once per crankshaft revolution). The prerequisite for this is the input signal from the engine speed sensor (pulse generator).

Possible cause:

- Wire to EKP relay defective

- EKP relay or main relay defective

- Voltage supply for DME control unit, EKP relay or main relay defective

- No signal from engine speed/position pulse generator (sensor)
