Situation:
As an aid in troubleshooting 26-Pin plug-type connections and to protect these connections from damage during electrical troubleshooting, a test set with adaptor cables and 26-pin universal adaptor box has been developed.

While this test set was developed particularly for the E32 and future model Series, some adaptor cables can be used on vehicles of all model Series in which 26-pin connectors are used.

The adaptor cables are color coded to match connectors in the vehicle. They cannot be interchanged and are protected against improper polarity. In addition, the jumper leads found in the Kent Moore test kit P/N 88 88 6 900 322, in conjuction with the universal adaptor box and a Fluke multimeter, can be used for troubleshooting.

APPLICATION:
Used as a short jumper for troubleshooting on the vehicle. The fuse protects the vehicle electrical system from accidental shorts to ground.
