Rear Defogger: Description and Operation

Operation
With the IHKR2/3 switched on and the engine running, when pressed for the first time, the rear window defogger button switches on the rear window defogger (defrost stage). The function indicator lamp lights and the defrost time counts down from 600 seconds to 0 seconds.

After the defrost time has elapsed, the function LED goes out and the rear window defogger is switched off for 80 seconds and switched on for 40 seconds.

After the modulation time of 20 minutes (cyclic mode) has elapsed, the rear window defogger switches off automatically. The system is switched to defrost stage if the rear window button is pressed during modulation mode. The rear window defogger is switched off when the button is pressed once again.
