Oil Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVING / CHECKING OIL PUMP

- M40/M42 -







Unscrew bolts and take off cover.


Installation:

Tightening Torque: = 10 Nm. - (7.4 ft.lbs.)






Measure clearance between pump housing / outer rotor and outer rotor / inner rotor (nominal 0.12 to 0.20 mm)

Note:
Reinstall rotors in the same position (inner rotor with guide facing the body).






Caution!
Strong spring force.
Using a suitable drift, press spacer down until circlip is no longer under strain.
Lift out circlip and remove pressure valve.
