Test Step 4

Test Step 4:

Test of Switch Signals on Wire Harness End to Control Unit:

Unlock and lift top above dead center.
Connect microswitch test box 61 4 440 on 26-pin test box 61 1 459.
Black, terminal on vehicle ground.
Red terminal on test box pin 19.
Blue plug on test box pin 20.
Yellow plug on test box pin 7 (open signal from switch).
Green plug on test box pin 8 (close signal from switch).

Operate switch in dashboard in open direction.
Does green LED on test box light up?


If no: Continue with Test Step 5.
If yes: Operate switch in dashboard in close direction.
Does yellow LED on test box light up?

If no: Continue with Test Step 5.
If yes: Switch in dashboard and cowl panel switch are OK.
