Fillpipe Restrictor: Description and Operation

Fill pipe Restrictor Location:

PURPOSE
The fillpipe restrictor prevents the introduction of leaded fuels in vehicles which require unleaded fuels. Leaded fuel dispensing nozzles, which by law are of a larger diameter than that of unleaded fuel nozzles, will not pass through the fillpipe restrictor.

The introduction of leaded fuels will hinder the operation of the oxygen sensor and the catalytic converter.
