ADJUSTING SUN ROOF




Ideal Adjustment:
Height:
Front = 1 mm (0.039") deeper than root panel.
Rear 1 mm (0.039") higher than root panel.
Length:
Same distance of lid to roof at front and rear check with a plastic gage (approx. 0.2 mm / 0.008").




Open sun roof lid about 10 cm (4").




Spread clips on left and right sides and push back the roof liner frame.

Close the sun roof lid.




Arrest sun roof in "0 position" on left and right sides with a 4 mm hexagon key (1).

Lid is removed for better demonstration.

Key (1) arrests the drive cable (2) and gate (3).

If necessary. remove the motor/gear- box unit to be able to adjust the drive cables.




Loosen screws (1...3) on left and right sides with Special Tool 00 2 130.

Align the lid.

If applicable, install motor/gearbox unit in position 0. Service and Repair

Take off keys.

Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm (2.5 ft. lbs.).
