Drive Belt: Service and Repair

1. Remove alternator belt.
2. Loosen tensioner lock bolts, then turn tensioner with a suitable wrench to receive tension on belt.
3. Note direction of rotation if belt is to be reused, then lift belt from pulleys.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Turn tensioner nut to tension belt, then tighten locking bolts for tensioner.
b. Do not install a belt that has been contaminated by coolant or oil.
