Throttle Position Switch: Adjustments

Pin Designations (Throttle Valve View):

1. With the throttle valve closed, disconnect the throttle valve switch electrical connector and connect an ohm meter between pin 6 and pin 4 of the switch.

Throttle Valve:

2. Loosen screws (1) and turn the throttle switch until 0 ohms is obtained. Retighten the screws.

^ The resistance should rise immediately to infinite ohms when the throttle switch is opened slightly and drop to 0 ohms when the throttle valve returns to the near closed position.
