4 Starter, terminal 30h (M 5)
5 Starter, terminal 30 (M 8)
6 Alternator D +
7 Alternator B +
8 Telethermometer sensor
9 DME coolant-temperature sensor
10 Oil-pressure switch
11 Camshaft sensor
12 Crankshaft sensor





1 Knock sensor for cylinders 1 and 2
2 Knock sensor for cylinders 3 and 4
3 Plug-in connection for fuel injectors





1 Automatic-transmission control unit, control gear
2 Automatic-transmission speed sensor
3 Oxygen sensor





1 Starter, battery positive (terminal 30)
2 Idle-speed actuator
3 Air-mass sensor
4 Throttle potentiometer
5 Tank venting valve
6 Connecting strip for fuel injectors
7 Connection for catalytic converter and
manual/automatic transmission

Remove or disconnect the following parts:

- Battery
- Manifold upper section
- Cable channel on separating wall
- Heater separating wall
- Control-unit cover
- Right-hand engine wiring-harness
- Positive support point
- Control units
- Diagnosis socket
- Left-hand engine wiring harness
- Tank venting valve
- Battery supply lead to fuse box
- Engine connector
- Switch for reversing lights
- Automatic transmission
- Oxygen sensor
- Connecting strip on injection pipe
- Leads to alternator
- Support at manifold
- Leads to starter
- Cable channel at manifold upper section

Installation:
- Carry out operational check.
