*D* Defect code memory: 14 Speed-A signal

Explanation:
This defect code is stored when the BC receives an illogical speed signal.

The BC receives the speed-A signal from the instrument cluster. Speed-related functions of the BC (e.g. limit function, average speed) may be disturbed if the speed signal fails.

Possible cause:
Wire from instrument cluster to BC defective; wire from rear axle contact to instrument cluster defective; rear axle contact defective.

Troubleshooting:
Check wire and repair if necessary (from black BC connector Pin 13 to instrument cluster).

If wire OK., check wire from instrument cluster to rear axle contact and repair if necessary.

If this wire is also OK., check rear axle contact and replace if necessary.
